Practice Manager and City of Lakes Study Club Coordinator
Summer has been a valued team member at Metropolitan Periodontists, P.A. since August 2007. She began her journey with us as Dr. Wilson's dental assistant and has continually taken on various roles, showcasing her versatility and dedication. With over 20 years of experience in the dental field, Summer now serves as our Office Manager and Study Club Coordinator.
Licensed as a Dental Assistant since 1998, Summer brings extensive knowledge and a passion for helping people to our practice. She thrives on working with our team, patients, and referring offices, always eager to be of service. Her favorite part about working at Metropolitan Periodontists is the constant challenge and the opportunities for continual growth and evolution in her career. Summer takes great pride in ensuring our patients are comfortable, relaxed, and informed, and she is always up to the task, no matter the challenge.
Outside the office, Summer enjoys spending time with her family and friends. She has been married for over 20 years and has two children, two dogs, and a cat. You might see her at a yoga class, walking the family dogs with her husband in the evening, cheering on her son’s baseball team, or supporting her daughter, who is a dancer. A fun fact about Summer is that she was an extra in "Mighty Ducks 2"!
Administrative Lead
Joey has been a dedicated member of the Metropolitan Periodontist team for nearly three years, having joined us in June of 2021. Joey worked his way through our office beginning as an intern and now becoming our Administrative Lead. With genuine love for helping patients, Joey has thrived in the dental field, ensuring every patient feels comfortable and well-cared for during their time in our office.
Joey is a proud alumnus of the University of St. Thomas, having recently received his Masters in Data Science. Outside of work, Joey enjoys spending time with Hayley, his wife, and their new puppy, Poppy. We're fortunate to have Joey as our Administrative Lead, and we know our patients appreciate his warm and friendly approach as much as we do.
New Patient Coordinator
JJ brings nearly a decade of experience in dentistry to Metropolitan Periodontists, where she has been an essential part of our team for the past six years. She began her career by earning an associate degree in dental assisting from Herzing University. JJ’s passion for helping people and educating them about their periodontal health drives her work every day. She finds great joy in seeing patients leave treatment with renewed confidence and smiles they are proud of. Education and patient care are extremely important to JJ. She is dedicated to helping patients expand their knowledge about dental health and guiding them through their periodontal care journey.
Outside of work, JJ is a proud mom of three sons and is in the process of adopting a daughter. She also has two extremely cute puppies that she loves to spend her time with. JJ enjoys spending quality time with her husband, going on travel adventures, and exploring new destinations together. In her free time, she loves eating good food, shopping, walking, working out, and absolutely loves to discuss her passion for sneakers.
Front Office
Dylan has been a vibrant part of the Metropolitan Periodontist team for the past year. A 2022 high school graduate, Dylan is currently pursuing a double major in Dance and Psychology at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Last summer, Dylan began her Internship at Metropolitan Periodontist, fulfilling a dream she's had since she was a little girl.
Growing up with her mom, Summer, working in the office, Dylan always knew she wanted to follow in her footsteps. In fact, she once asked Dr. Wilson when she could work here, and he jokingly replied, "when you're taller than your mom." Now, Dylan is not only part of the team but also making significant contributions in our marketing and in the front office.
Dylan loves spending time with the team and learning new things daily. She finds great joy in witnessing the confidence built in patients as they continue their treatment and love seeing the smiles that brighten our office. Dylan also enjoys visiting other dental offices, meeting their teams, and spreading joy—so much so that some referring offices affectionately call Dylan the “treat girl.”
Outside of work, Dylan is passionate about dance and takes every opportunity to be involved in it. She loves hanging out with friends in the sun, going for long drives, walks, and runs, and discovering new music and spots in Minnesota.
Licensed Dental Hygienist
Lisa graduated from North Dakota State College of Science in Dental hygiene in 1998 but has been in the dental industry since 1988. Lisa has been with us since 2012 and has been a terrific addition to our team. Lisa is a very knowledgeable hygienist and is always seeking information to make sure she is up to date on the latest studies and technologies in dentistry. Lisa was the first hygienist in the State of Minnesota to use the Perioscopy. Her focus when a patient is in her chair is to make sure she is taking the best care of them. She knows that each patient is unique and requires personalized care to fit their needs. Lisa also helps coordinate our hygiene study club which includes about 20 other hygienists from offices around the Twin Cities.
In her free time Lisa enjoys golfing, downhill skiing, camping, and many other outdoor activities. She has been married to her husband Chris for over 30 years and has an adult son named Joshua. When she is not spending time with her family she enjoys running with her lab "Charley".

Caitlin is an experienced dental hygienist with nearly 15 years of dedication to providing exceptional oral care. Throughout her career, she has developed a deep passion for helping patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health by creating personalized treatment plans that align with their individual needs and lifestyles. Her approach combines thorough care with a focus on education, ensuring that each patient understands the importance of consistent oral hygiene and is equipped with the knowledge to maintain a healthy smile.
With a special interest in the integration of technology into dental practices, Caitlin is always eager to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements. She enjoys using cutting-edge tools and techniques that enhance patient care, improve treatment outcomes, and create a more comfortable experience for those she serves.
Outside of her professional life, Caitlin enjoys spending quality time with her partner and their dog, taking long walks to enjoy the outdoors. She’s also a fan of unwinding by watching reality TV shows with her cats curled up beside her.
Fun fact: Caitlin is a DIY manicure enthusiast and can paint inside the lines on both hands.

Tawn has been an essential part of Metropolitan Periodontists for the past six years, bringing nearly three decades of experience in the dental industry. She attended Robbinsdale Armstrong High School, MIT, and Lakeland Medical and Dental Academy, equipping her with a comprehensive education that has greatly benefited our practice. Tawn is passionate about helping people achieve healthy smiles and boosting their knowledge and self-esteem. She loves the science behind dentistry and understands how healing the mouth can profoundly impact the overall health and lives of our patients.
Outside of work, Tawn enjoys hosting dinner parties, watching Twins baseball, and cheering for Green Bay Packers. She is happily married and has two grown children, Ryan and Abigail.
