Diana joined our practice in December 2010.
She graduated from the University of Minnesota as a Licensed Dental Assistant.
She has many years of experience in the dental field having knowledge in general dentistry as well as with dental insurance. She is our financial coordinator and is the best person to help you make financial arrangements in our office.
She has lived in Minneapolis her whole life. Diana has two adult children that she loves spending time with. Her son currently plays baseball for NDSU and when her schedule allows it you can be sure to catch Diana at one of his games. She also enjoys all sports and other outside activities.
New Patient Coordinator / Study Club Coordinator
Valerie has been a registered Dental Assistant since 1988. She began working for Dr. Wilson at that time.
In her capacity as the New Patient Coordinator, Valerie will assist you from the initial contact with our office through the initial exam and into the beginning of treatment. She will make sure all your questions are answered and that you are totally comfortable throughout your periodontal and/or implant therapy.
Behind the scenes, Valerie coordinates Dr. Wilson’s City of Lakes Study Club, a consortium of restorative dentists and specialists who meet once a month to develop in aspects of comprehensive patient care.
When Valerie is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband Brad and her two boys. She also enjoys camping, boating, scrapbooking and fishing with her family.
Patient Care Coordinator
As most people guess when they look at and hear them, John is Dr. Wilson's brother. He has been working for the practice as a patient coordinator since 1997. His duties include answering the phone, scheduling, correspondence, and greeting patients and his goal is to make every patient feel as comfortable as possible.
John's educational background includes the University of Notre Dame (humanities and philosophy) and University of Minnesota (cultural studies, musicology and music performance). His varied work experiences include jobs as an administrative assistant, nursing assistant, work in the hospitality industry (as wait staff, trainer and administrative duties) and music teacher/performer (classical/finger style guitar).
In his spare time, John continues to play and teach his guitar and he is also an avid cyclist (a year round bike commuter). He lives in St. Paul with his wife Ann near the State Fair grounds. Next time you are in the office ask him how many times he has been to the fair.
Patient Care Coordinator
Kim brings us 11 years of experience in Cosmetic, General and Sedation Dentistry. She also has a background in Commercial Property Management and is a certified Travel Agent. Her love for dentistry and compassion for people brought her back into the dental field. She has been with us since 2016.
She is a member of AADOM and the Facial Pain Association. She takes a special interest in advocating and spreading awareness in a condition called Trigeminal Neuralgia. She has been a guest speaker for the Regional Trigeminal Neuralgia Conference and is an active volunteer in various support groups for the condition. Most recently she was selected to participate in a research study at Yale.
In her spare time she enjoys spending time with family, friends, boating, traveling and volunteering. She has a strong interest in health, fitness and fitness competing. She loves spending time with her dog and participating in various fund raising events for animals.
Licensed Dental Assistant/ Marketing Coordintor
Summer is one of our licensed surgical assistants. She started working here full time in August 2007 and has been a fantastic addition to our dedicated team. She brings to the practice 10 years of experience and also worked in our office for one day a week when she first finished school. Summer enjoys assisting Dr. Wilson and Dr. Kersten during surgical procedures. She takes great pride in knowing her patients are comfortable, relaxed and informed. She is committed to taking the best care of our patients and she is knowledgeable in all procedures Dr. Wilson and Dr. Kersten performs. In addition to assisting she is also our OSHA officer, radiation safety officer and orders all of our supplies.
Summer is also the marketing coordinator for the practice she helps bridge the communication between our office and your dental office. This helps to ensure the most comprehensive care for you as a patient. She loves to meet all the wonderful people that provide you with care.
Summer is married with two beautiful children. She spends most of her time just trying to keep up with her kid's active schedules when she is not in the office.
Licensed Dental Assistant
Steph joined our team in August of 2015 as one of our licensed dental assistants. She studied at the University of Minnesota Duluth and at Hennepin Technical College in Eden Prairie. She has been a dental assistant in oral surgery and periodontics since 2013.
When she’s not in our office, she’s working on finishing her Bachelor’s degree in professional communications at Metro State University and is also a bartender with a charter boat company on Lake Minnetonka. In her spare time, she enjoys traveling, especially to Colorado to ski and hike, being on the lakes paddle boarding, hitting the state trails with her rescue dog, Gunner, and captaining for her sand volleyball league team.
Licensed Dental Hygienist
Lisa graduated from North Dakota State College of Science in Dental hygiene in 1998 but has been in the dental industry since 1988. Lisa has been with us since 2012 and has been a terrific addition to our team. Lisa is a very knowledgeable hygienist and is always seeking information to make sure she is up to date on the latest studies and technologies in dentistry. Lisa was the first hygienist in the State of Minnesota to use the Perioscopy. Her focus when a patient is in her chair is to make sure she is taking the best care of them. She knows that each patient is unique and requires personalized care to fit their needs. Lisa also helps coordinate our hygiene study club which includes about 20 other hygienists from offices around the Twin Cities.
In her free time Lisa enjoys golfing, downhill skiing, camping, and many other outdoor activities. She has been married to her husband Chris for over 30 years and has an adult son named Joshua. When she is not spending time with her family she enjoys running with her lab "Charley".
