Dr. Tamir Shalev, DDS, MS, Dipl. ABP 

Specialist in Periodontology and Dental Implants 

Dr. Tamir Shalev is a board certified periodontist with over a decade of experience in treating periodontal disease, soft tissue grafting, guided bone regeneration, and dental implant therapy. He currently serves as a full‐time Clinical Assistant Professor in the Division of Periodontology at the University of Minnesota, where he teaches and mentors dental students and residents. 

Dr. Shalev earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree with distinction from the Lithuanian University of Health Sciences, where he also completed his initial periodontal training. He later earned a master’s degree and advanced specialty certification in Periodontology from the University of Minnesota. His research has been published in leading journals and focuses primarily on dental implants and guided bone regeneration. 
In addition to his clinical and academic work, Dr. Shalev is deeply involved in family life. He lives in St. Louis Park with his wife, Bar, their son, Ben, and their beloved dog, Daisy. He’s always happy to share photos of Daisy with anyone who asks!
