Welcome to the Metropolitan Periodontists Hygiene Study Club!

For hygienists who enjoy learning from real cases and real conversations

Sometimes the cases we learn the most from are the ones that make us stop and think.

Would you refer this patient yet? Why is this area still breaking down? Is that implant something we should be concerned about? What would a periodontist see here that I might be missing?

The Metropolitan Periodontists Hygiene Study Club gives local dental hygienists a place to explore those questions together.

Five Wednesday evenings throughout the year, we’ll gather for dinner, continuing education, and practical conversations about the clinical situations hygienists encounter every day. This isn’t meant to feel like another lecture or another CE box to check. We want it to be a group you look forward to coming back to.

A Place to Learn and Connect

Periodontal care isn’t always black and white. The numbers don’t always tell the whole story, and patients don’t always respond the way we expect.

Study Club gives you the opportunity to talk through those gray areas with other local hygienists and our periodontal team. Ask questions, hear different perspectives, work through real clinical situations, and better understand when to monitor, when to change course, and when it may be time for a specialist to take a closer look.

You may leave with a new way to approach a patient. You may feel more confident about a decision you’re already making. Or you may leave thinking about something you hadn’t considered before.

More Than CE

We hope this becomes a community of hygienists who are comfortable asking questions, sharing ideas, and learning from one another.

It’s also an opportunity to get to know the people behind Metropolitan Periodontists and spend time with others who care about providing thoughtful periodontal care.

Whether you’ve been practicing for two years or twenty, if you’re curious and want to continue growing clinically, we’d like you to be part of it.
